Asset governance
Principle
A brand kit is a versioned product surface. Guidance without usable, licensed, traceable artifacts is incomplete; a download folder without governance is a liability.
Asset manifest
Every asset declares stable ID, title, purpose, kind, source master, derivative relationship, format, dimensions/view box, color space, locale, version, checksum, creator, owner, approver, copyright/license, usage restrictions, territory, consent/release link, created/review/expiry dates, status, replacement, export preset, accessibility metadata, and official/community designation.
Pipeline
Masters are immutable per version. Reproducible export presets generate SVG, PNG, PDF, or other approved derivatives; optimization cannot strip accessibility or rights metadata. Publish checksums and a changelog. Downloads expose license, version, file size, intended use, and support contact before transfer.
Lifecycle
Use draft → approved → deprecated → withdrawn. Deprecation announces dates and replacement; withdrawal removes download access without erasing audit history. Expired rights automatically block publication. Community assets remain clearly separated and never inherit official approval by proximity.
QA evidence
Malware scan; checksum verification; SVG safety; format/open test; color and transparency previews; minimum-size render; embedded-font/license check; rights and expiry gate; keyboard-accessible downloads; broken-link test; restore drill.
Support
Every collection has owner, response target, request form, misuse report route, exception workflow, and escalation. Requests capture intended audience, medium, territory, deadline, modifications, and rights—not merely “send logo.”
